OUR NEW SITE IS COMING SOON
THE CLINIC:

What are your hours of operation?
The clinic is open from Monday-Friday and closed on all weekends and statutory holidays. Phones are answered from 9 am - 3 pm, if you call outside these hours, you will have the opportunity to leave a voicemail for your call to be returned. Please call ahead to confirm availability as hours may vary.

Is your clinic accessible for people with disabilities?
Please contact us at (250) 591-9812 to discuss specific accessibility needs and accommodations we can provide.

What is parking like?
There is a parking lot available on site behind the building for patients. It is pay parking. The machine does accept credit card but does not accept bills or quarters and does not provide change. Please make sure that you display your ticket on your dashboard after you purchase parking.
APPOINTMENTS:
Do you accept walk-in patients, or is an appointment required?
We operate by appointment only to ensure quality care and adequate time for each patient.

How can I get an appointment?
Women's Vita DOES require a referral. If you do not have a Family Doctor to arrange this referral on your behalf, you can seek care through a walk in clinic or virtual care clinic.

What services do you offer?
We specialize in Women's Health and Family Medicine, including menopausal management, birth control, dyspareunia (painful sex), dysmenorrhea (painful periods), menorrhagia (heavy bleeding), primary health care, and gynecological services.

What if I have to cancel my appointment?
That is fine, we all have things come up! Please call and notify the office as soon as you know you are unable to make the appointment as it can be offered to another patient. If it is not cancelled within 48 hours, it may be subjected to a "no show" fee.

What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring a current list of medications, your BC Services Card, and all forms completed.

How should I prepare for my appointment?
Preparation varies by appointment type. We'll provide specific instructions when you book.

Will I be reminded of my appointment?
Yes, the clinic sends out appointment reminders via text/phone 1 week prior to your scheduled appointment.
What are the wait times like at the clinic?
We are a small team which means are not always able to accommodate the demand for appointments due to this. There is a significant shortage of health care providers on the island and we are well aware of this. Please be patient with us, as we do the best we can, to see everyone for their health concerns. We, under no circumstances, tolerate any bullying or disrespect to any of the staff. We are not, and will not be accepting patients for family practice. We do not have a waitlist as this will not be changing. There are no exceptions.
PATIENT CARE:
What is your policy on patient privacy and confidentiality?
We strictly adhere to privacy laws and medical confidentiality standards. Your health information is protected and only shared with your consent or as required by law.

What is the clinic's approach to patient care?
We believe in empowerment, education, and guidance to help you achieve your full health potential. Our experienced medical team creates custom health plans that fit your lifestyle, focusing on treating existing conditions, preventing complications, and improving your quality of life.
