  • There are several digital tools available to securely and easily access your personal health information online. Having access to and viewing your health records may help you feel more empowered to manage and learn about your health. Please visit this HealthLink BC Website

  • All patient records will be securely stored and transferred to MedRecords.

  • ​To initiate the record transfer process, please visit medrecords.ca and complete the request form. Alternatively, you can contact MedRecords directly at 604-800-7079 for assistance.

PATIENT CARE:

​Where do I go if I need urgent care?

For non-life-threatening but urgent health concerns in Nanaimo, consider the Medical Arts Urgent and Primary Care Centre (UPCC), which offers same-day care for issues that need attention within 12-24 hours. If it's a life-threatening emergency, call 9-1-1 or go to the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital's Emergency Department. 

Medical Arts UPCC:

  • This clinic provides same-day care for non-emergency issues that need attention within 12-24 hours. It's open 7 days a week, with varying hours. 

Central Nanaimo Urgent Primary Care Clinic:

  • You can visit this clinic for same-day care if you have a health concern that should be seen within 12 to 24 hours. By appointment: Call 1-833-688-8722 when the clinic opens to book. A nurse or team member may ask you a few questions to match you with the right care. Walk-in appointments are not available.

Nanaimo Regional General Hospital Emergency Department:

  • For life-threatening emergencies, this is the place to go.

  • While some clinics may offer walk-in services, it's always best to call ahead to confirm availability and wait times.
